Hermit
Meet Hermit
, ( I think we should call him Kermit because that manifests itself much better )
Located in Ohio
Hermit is an estimated 6-year-old boy who is having a very hard time in the shelter environment. He is shut down, terrified, and currently on medication to help manage his stress.
Right now, Hermit isn’t able to show who he truly is. The noise, chaos, and constant stimulation of the shelter are simply too much for him. Dogs like Hermit don’t “open up” in a kennel—they survive it.
What he needs is a quiet, patient foster or adopter who can give him the time and space to decompress and feel safe again.
• Around 6 years old
• Extremely fearful in the shelter setting
• Currently medicated for anxiety
• Shuts down under stress
• A calm, low-traffic home
• A patient human who will let him move at his own pace
• A predictable routine
• Ideally no young children
These are the dogs that break your heart in the shelter… and completely transform once they feel safe. Hermit deserves that chance.
If you have the heart and home to help Hermit come out of his shell, please reach out. Even fostering could save his life
