Fern is coming into Tollers rescue Incorporated. We’ve arranged her pick up tomorrow at a wonderful foster home. She was just spayed yesterday. She’s not feeling great. She’s got some anxiety, some skin, allergies and an old fracture of one of her legs that never healed properly so she’s a little limpy so once we get her adjusted and in a home where she feels loved, we will see how she’s doing, and we will share everything we’ve learned about Fern with the general public.

Willie is an 8¼-year-old purebred Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever with a lifetime of adventure behind him — and plenty of life still ahead.
Willie has lived all over the world with his owner, including five years in Italy, and later in Virginia, before a change in lifestyle made it necessary to find him a new home.
True to the breed, Willie is a classic Toller:
• high drive
• mischievous
• intelligent
• full of personality
Willie likely did not receive enough socialization as a young pup, and because of that, he can be uncomfortable around children who move quickly or unpredictably. He is not aggressive, but he would do best in a calm, adult-only home where his space and boundaries are respected.
Willie’s Skills & Training
✅ Crate trained
✅ Walks well on leash
✅ Muzzle trained
Because of Italian travel requirements, Willie became very accustomed to wearing a muzzle on trains and ferries — making him an easily managed dog for an experienced owner.
Other Pets
Willie does well with most other dogs, especially with proper introductions.
We are not sure how he would do with cats, so a cat-free home (or a home willing to carefully assess) would be best.
Willie was recently assessed by a knowledgeable Toller person who absolutely fell in love with him, confirming what we already know: with the right match, Willie will thrive.
Availability
Willie is available now through Toller Rescue Inc.
If you have questions or would like to learn more about Willie, please reach out to me directly — we are happy to answer anything you need. ... See MoreSee Less

We are thrilled to share that Suki has a spot with Brooke O’Brien in Castalian Springs, TN — a truly wonderful opportunity for her to get the structure, training, and stability she needs to succeed. Now we just need to get her there safely.
Suki is currently in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and the full trip is about 7½ hours.
Our best transport day is Saturday, January 31st (Jan 30 or Feb 1 could also work if needed).
We are especially hoping to find help for the middle or north leg of the trip, such as:
• Montgomery, AL → Castalian Springs, TN
• Grady, AL → Castalian Springs, TN
About Suki
Suki is wonderful with people — affectionate, responsive, and eager to connect.
She needs careful handling around other dogs, which is why Brooke is the perfect match for her. We’re looking for a confident, dog-savvy transport volunteer who can safely handle a strong, energetic dog who should be kept separated from other dogs during transport.
We will:
• Coordinate timing and handoffs
• Provide all transport details
• Cover expenses as needed
If you can help with any leg of this journey, please reach out. Even a partial run makes a huge difference. Suki is so close to the fresh start she deserves — we just need a little help getting her there.

Achilles came to us from a very difficult abuse situation, but thanks to the incredible work of Kelly at Geronimo Kennels, he has been in rehab and training for the past 4–5 weeks and has made remarkable progress.
He’s now walking nicely on leash, learning his basic commands, and gaining confidence every day. Achilles tends to prefer female dogs over males, and he’s continuing to build positive social skills in a structured, supportive environment. He loves kids who are respectful of dogs and their boundaries.
This sweet boy has come such a long way in a short time and is now ready to take the next big step — finding his forever home. Ideally, we would love to find him a home in or near Houston, Texas, so he can continue working with Kelly and benefit from her ongoing training support as he transitions into family life.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion and are willing to give a deserving dog the patience, structure, and kindness he needs to keep thriving, Achilles may be the one for you. 💙 ... See MoreSee Less

Toller Rescue Inc. is hard at work vetting applications for Tally — thank you to everyone who has applied and shared!
🚨 Urgent Foster Needs 🚨
• Suki. FOSTER Behaviorist Found !!!!!!!!!
We are in urgent need of an experienced foster who can help Suki work through her challenges with other female dogs. This would involve the use of a Baskerville muzzle and a structured training program. We may also have a trainer available to help guide and support you through the process.
🐾 Other Updates
• Achilles – We will be introducing Achilles in Houston tonight or tomorrow. Kelly Lannin has done an amazing job rehabbing this boy, and we are so grateful for her dedication.
• Ruby – Ruby is courtesy listed in Arkansas, and we’ll be sharing updates about her soon.
💙 Thank You
If anyone can help in any of these situations, please reach out. All costs will be covered, and we truly appreciate the incredible support we receive from our Toller community across the country. We could not do this work without you. ... See MoreSee Less

URGENT – Foster or Trainer Needed for Suki (Fort Walton, FL) 🚨
Suki is a lovely, people-loving dog who adores her humans. Unfortunately, she became dog aggressive toward the other female dogs in her home. She has since been spayed and previously experienced split heats and false pregnancies, so it’s very possible her behavior was influenced by hormonal factors.
Suki needs to be moved immediately. We are urgently seeking:
• An experienced foster, or
• A qualified trainer who can take her and work with her
She would do best in a home that can manage or work through dog-to-dog issues, ideally without other female dogs.
📍 Location: Fort Walton, Florida
⏰ Timing: URGENT — she will have no place to go if we cannot secure placement very soon.
Suki deserves a safe, stable place where she can decompress and get the support she needs. If you can help, or know someone who might, please reach out immediately. Transport assistance may be possible for the right situation.
🙏 Please share — this is time-sensitive.
We are willing to waive Suki‘s adoption fee in lieu of someone paying for training to work with her and we are willing to do a Foster to Adopt. Please reach out as soon as possible if you think you can help with Suki.

A huge thank you to everyone who applied for her. I did get through most of the applications and most of them were wonderful so I’d like to keep them on file. If we have another dog come up that you are interested in please let me know and it’ll be that much quicker.
Meet Tally! 🐾💛
Tally is a possible Toller mix and a total great imposter. She’s currently with a Golden Retriever rescue in the Memphis, TN area, and we’re helping her find her forever home.
She’s estimated to be between 7 months and 1 year old and was found as an unclaimed stray. Despite that rough start, Tally is an incredibly sweet, well-mannered young girl. She’s spayed, heartworm negative, and ready to go.
Tally lives with an 8-year-old Golden Retriever and plays nicely and respectfully. She also shares space with a senior dog and has learned to wait patiently and not snatch food — pretty impressive for a puppy! She’s comfortable with kids (ages 8–10) and isn’t bothered by younger children at all.
She does have puppy energy, but she’s never been destructive. Her only “naughty” habit? If a dog stuffy has a rip, she’ll pull the stuffing out and leave it behind — she doesn’t eat it, just redecorates 😄.
Tally is a happy, affectionate, fun-loving pup who would thrive in a home that can give her exercise, structure, and lots of love. She’s truly just a good girl looking for her people.
