Bonnie is a sweet, resilient 1 1/2 - 2½-year-old spayed female who has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. Once a feral stray and heartworm-positive, this brave girl has completed treatment and is now on the path to a long, happy, and healthy life.
Bonnie absolutely adores other dogs and would truly thrive in a home with multiple canine companions. Having dog friends helps her feel confident and secure. She is also kid-friendly and enjoys being part of the family.
She loves treats, toys, and gentle affection — and yes, she enjoys being pet! As she continues to blossom, her loving personality shines brighter every day. Bonnie is smart, observant, and a quick learner once she feels safe.
Because of her past, Bonnie will need:
• A secure privacy fence
• A patient adjustment period
• A crate for nighttime and when left alone (her crate is her safe space)
• An AirTag on her collar at all times for at least the first 6 months we are investigating tracking collars as well.
Bonnie feels safest when she has structure and security. With consistency and kindness, she will reward her family with loyalty, sweetness, and quiet devotion.
If you’re looking for a gentle soul who just needs a little time and a lot of love, Bonnie may be your perfect match. 🐾💕
Bonnie will come with her crate her bedding, her toys, her collars, her leashes, and her bowls

Reese is an approximately 8-year-old Toller look-alike who is looking for a new home through no fault of her own. She was adopted in 2020/2022 (adjust as needed) and has been deeply loved. Her owner has invested an incredible amount of time and dedication into her training and enrichment.
Reese has participated in activities like Barn Hunt and enjoys having a job. She would likely enjoy basic agility, nose work, or continued training of any kind. She thrives with daily mental stimulation and structure — this is not a dog who will be happy with a quiet, sedentary lifestyle.
Reese’s challenge is that she can be unpredictable with other dogs. Because of this, she will need a very dog-savvy, experienced home that understands management, structure, and clear boundaries. Her current owner is getting older and can no longer safely manage the unpredictability around other dogs.
Reese can absolutely be handled successfully — but her person needs to:
• Be confident and proactive
• Provide consistent structure
• Be attentive in dog environments
• Understand high-drive, intense personalities
She would likely do best:
• In an adult home (or older, dog-savvy teens)
• As the only dog, or with very careful management
• With someone experienced in sporting breeds
Reese is loyal, intelligent, and enjoys working with her person. In the right home, with the right leadership, she will absolutely shine.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Reese, please contact us. She deserves a home that understands her and can give her the consistency she needs.

Suki is a stunning, spirited girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s smart, engaged, and loves being part of whatever her people are doing. Whether it’s exploring outdoors, learning something new, or simply staying close to her humans, Suki thrives on connection and partnership.
She is an active, driven dog who will do best in a home that provides structure, daily exercise, and continued training. Enrichment, hiking, obedience work, or dog sports would all be wonderful outlets for her energy and intelligence. Suki truly shines when she has a job and a person to bond with.
Suki will be placed in an adult-only home and cannot live with other female dogs. She needs an experienced, dog-savvy owner who understands leadership, consistency, and clear boundaries.
In return, Suki will give you loyalty, devotion, and a deeply connected partnership. She is a lot of dog in the very best way — bright, engaging, and ready to give her whole heart to the right home.
If you’re experienced and looking for a smart, active companion, Suki may be your perfect match. 🐾💛

Currently being fostered in Texas, Shela is a very energetic, fun-loving girl with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life.
She may be more of a Toller look-alike, but don’t let that fool you — this girl absolutely plays the part! She’s smart, active, and always ready for the next adventure.
Shela is what we lovingly call an “escape artist,” so she’ll need a secure yard and a family who understands the importance of management and continued training. She’s clever and curious, and she’ll keep you on your toes — in the best way.
But at the heart of it all, Shela really just wants to be with her people. She thrives on connection and would much rather be by your side than anywhere else. Her energy comes with a deep desire to bond — she’s looking for her humans to love and stick close to.
She would thrive with:
• An active home
• A securely fenced yard
• Ongoing training and structure
• A family who includes her in daily life
Shela is ready to channel all that energy into being someone’s loyal companion. With the right home, she is going to shine. ✨
If you’re interested in learning more about Shela, please visit tollerrescueinc.org and fill out an adoption application on our forms page.

Maggie is a beautiful, affectionate girl estimated to be about three years old. When she first arrived at the shelter, she appeared to have an old, unhealed leg injury. Thankfully, we’re not seeing any signs of that bothering her now. She has since been spayed, and Toller Rescue Inc. welcomed her into our care.
Maggie is currently thriving in her foster home in the Seattle, Washington area. She’s dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other pups, though her foster siblings would prefer to remain a two-dog household — so Maggie is now ready to find her very own forever home in the Pacific Northwest.
She loves children, aims to please, and truly enjoys being part of the action. Maggie does pull on leash, but with consistency and training (and her eager-to-please personality), this is very manageable. She’s a little bigger than the typical Toller and is currently just under 70 pounds, with a bit more weight she could still shed.
Maggie is a sweet, loyal girl who is ready for a family to call her own.
If you’re interested in giving Maggie the loving home she deserves, please visit tollerrescueinc.org and complete the adoption application found on our Forms page.

🐾 Meet Nova – Loyal, Loving 10-Year-Old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever
Located in New Hampshire
Nova is a beautiful 10-year-old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever who has been part of our family since she was just eight weeks old. She is truly one of those dogs who doesn’t seem to age — everyone who meets her says, “I can’t believe she’s 10!” She is energetic, bright, and full of personality.
Nova loves going for walks, playing in the yard, and spending time with family. She especially enjoys being around my grandchildren and is happiest when she can be part of the action outdoors.
At home, Nova is a wonderful companion. She loves to curl up next to me on the couch in the evenings and will happily snooze while I watch TV. She is deeply bonded to her people and thrives on being close.
Nova is also a very loyal and protective girl. She takes her job as neighborhood watchdog seriously and will bark to alert us when delivery trucks or unfamiliar cars come down the street.
One important thing to know about Nova: she has some food/resource guarding behaviors. She will not steal food from people, but if she grabs something, she may not allow it to be taken away. Over the years, we’ve managed this by avoiding conflict and removing her from situations instead of addressing it directly. Because of this, Nova would do best in an adult-only home or with someone experienced and comfortable managing resource guarding safely.
Nova does not enjoy swimming and is afraid of water, but she tolerates baths just fine.
This decision comes with a heavy heart. Due to a major change in our household — an elderly family member moving into our home — I will no longer be able to safely care for both Nova and my family in the way she deserves.
Nova is a loving, spirited dog who will thrive in the right home with structure, understanding, and plenty of affection.
If you believe you may be the right match for Nova, please reach out. We want nothing more than a safe, loving next chapter for this very special girl. ... See MoreSee Less

Fern is coming into Tollers rescue Incorporated. We’ve arranged her pick up tomorrow at a wonderful foster home. She was just spayed yesterday. She’s not feeling great. She’s got some anxiety, some skin, allergies and an old fracture of one of her legs that never healed properly so she’s a little limpy so once we get her adjusted and in a home where she feels loved, we will see how she’s doing, and we will share everything we’ve learned about Fern with the general public. ...
