Meet Charlie 

Charlie is a 3-year-old neutered male Toller mix with a gentle soul and so much potential. DNA testing from a previous foster indicated he is approximately 63% Toller (documentation not available).

Charlie recently returned to rescue after spending over a year in a home that ultimately wasn’t the right fit. Now he’s looking for a patient, understanding person or family to help him truly settle in and thrive.

Charlie is a shy boy who gains confidence from other dogs, so he must go to a home with at least one confident, friendly dog. He does very well in a pack setting and takes comfort in canine companionship.

He’s currently been working with our trainer/foster Nikki for the past three weeks and is doing marvelously, already showing great progress as his confidence begins to grow.

He enjoys long walks and does well at the dog park. Because he can be nervous, he would do best in a home without small children, though older, dog-savvy kids would be just fine.

Charlie tends to bond more quickly with women, but with time, patience, and consistency, he can build trust with anyone. He will need a calm home that understands shy dogs and is willing to let him adjust at his own pace.

With the right match, Charlie will blossom into an incredibly loyal and loving companion—and he truly is a gorgeous boy inside and out.
